Ingredients

  • 12 bacon slices

  • 24 pineapple chunks

  • ½ Cup brown sugar

  • 1/8 teaspoon ground Black pepper

Directions

  • Begin by slicing the bacon by half lengthwise, then cut it in half.
  • Take a pineapple chunk, wrap it in bacon, and insert a toothpick through the center to hold it together.
  • Roll in a mixture of black pepper and brown sugar.
  • Cook at 390 degrees F for 5 minutes, flip it over and cook for 5 more minutes

Cooking Tips

  1. Cut pineapple in equal sizes so that they cook uniformly.
  2. Don’t stack these on top of each other in the air fryer basket.
  3. Don’t forget to flip them halfway through cooking.
  4. Sprinkle some brown sugar on the wrapped pineapples in the basket for added sweetness.
  5. For added freshness and flavor sprinkle chopped cilantro on the top while serving.

Brown sugar adds more caramelization to it. You can also add cinnamon for a great flavor. You can also use canned pineapple for this, it saves a lot of time. But if you like fresh pineapples you can use them as they are available all year round. This recipe is my personal favorite as I love pineapples and any dish made from them.
