Frozen Chicken wings in Airfryer

Air-fried frozen chicken wings are my favorite recipe because of the less oil which makes it healthy and ready in a few minutes. You can garnish it with salt and pepper or use barbeque sauce to serve it. It needs only 2- 3 ingredients and minimal supervision. Its crispy skin and juicy interior are so tempting that you will be craving more every time you have it. The deep-fried chicken wings are unhealthy and take a lot of time to cook. They need constant supervision and flipping.

These are perfect party snacks and you can have them without any guilt or compromising health. Pat them dry before air frying or keep them open in the refrigerator before seasoning. There is no marination required so preparation time is short too. You don’t need to thaw or defrost them; they can be placed straight into the air fryer basket.

  • 2lb chicken wings

  • 4 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt and pepper for garnishing.

Directions

  • Season wings with salt and pepper all over and spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 380F and place chicken wings in the air fryer basket. Cook wings for 12 minutes.
  • Remove the tray and flip the wings, cook for 12 minutes more. Increase the temperature to 400F and cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Keep it for 2 minutes and then toss with garlic powder and serve with barbeque sauce.
  • Cooking tips
  • Do not overcrowd the basket. You can cook it in batches.
  • Water can get collected at the bottom of the air fryer basket. Drain it before you continue cooking.
  • Some brands of wings are larger in size so adjust the cooking time accordingly.
  • Do not shake the basket if there is still liquid in the base. You can get scalded.
  • You don’t need to defrost the wings before cooking.
  • Use a meat thermometer to make sure the temperature has reached 165 degrees F inside the cooked wings.

Notes

  • You can store the leftovers in a refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 5 days. To reheat, place them in an air dryer for 3 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
