How content is governed

Editorial Policy

Accuracy, independence and clear evidence boundaries guide every page on Air Fryer Guide.

Commercial arrangements must not change factual conclusions or hide uncertainty.

Research standards

Editors should use primary sources, record access dates and distinguish facts from interpretation. Copied merchant descriptions and unattributed claims are not permitted.

Hands-on testing

Testing may be claimed only when the operator supplies a documented method and evidence. Otherwise pages use the phrase research-based assessment.

Affiliate independence

Commission eligibility does not determine whether a product is included or how it is described. Paid links must be labelled and use sponsored and nofollow attributes.

Safety and corrections

Food-safety wording follows current official UK guidance. Material errors are corrected transparently and reviewed for related pages.

Images and updates

Editorial images must have a known status and approval. Review dates indicate when the evidence was last checked, not a guarantee that every external source remains unchanged.

Who, how and why

Each substantive guide identifies Air Fryer Guide as the responsible editorial organisation until a verified individual byline is available. The methodology explains how research and automation contribute, while the purpose of the page must remain helping a reader complete a real buying or cooking task.

Content is not commissioned to fill a keyword list. A proposed page needs a distinct user question, enough reliable evidence and a useful relationship to the existing guide network. Pages that would repeat another article with minor wording changes should be combined or rejected.

Commercial and editorial separation

A merchant may become eligible for a paid link only after the editorial assessment exists. Commission rate, campaign pressure or retailer preference cannot determine the shortlist, category label or conclusion. Commercial links are operational metadata applied after disclosure and compliance checks.

Manufacturers and retailers do not receive a promise of favourable coverage. If they provide a correction, it is checked against primary material and the same evidential standard used for any reader report.

Use of automation

Automation supports consistency checks, link validation, schema inspection, source freshness and page generation from approved records. It must not invent personal experience, legal identity, test results, prices, ratings or citations.

Where an AI-generated image is used, its status is recorded. Such an image may support editorial presentation but cannot depict a claimed test, reproduce a protected product design as if it were an official image, or replace evidence needed for a product claim.
